OMORDHA
Hi my name is Georgie and together with my sister Kat we are the team behind Omordha
I come from a family that have always loved and owned Rough collies and its my dream to show what a wonderful breed they are
My story
My family have always had rough collie , my nan and grandad started it with 3 of there own , then when my mum was 16 my grandad got her own rough called Nookie a dark sable , Nookie was my mum best friend and it hit her very hard when she loss him , fast forward a while and my mum got Kat her first rough collie called Bear also a sable who sadly only lived until he was 9 years old , after losing him the family waited a long while until we got another which brings me to how we meet Pat and Barry (CAPRIOARA)
All most 7 years ago we saw an advert for a blue rough collie puppy boy, we had been searching for over two years to find a rough collie , after calling and speaking to pat we booked a time to go see him , so we travelled all the way from Wales to Essex to buy this boy, my mum named him Pacer after Elvis Presley character in flaming star .
We became friends with Pat and Barry and then after about a year we heard that pat was very ill she had spent a year in hospital suffering with cancer, she had many rounds of chemo treatment and was in need of a quiet peaceful place to get better in, so we offered them to come and live with us including her dogs to our farm.
A year after moving in secrets had a litter of puppy’s and without knowing what she would have we ask for the first Tir girl . Kat named her Cola after secrets dad soda . Cola she is the one that has started our Omordha line.
With Barry and Pat living on the farm , we saw them going off to show with there dogs I started asking question and then wanted to give it ago , so I started slow , I was 10 and I fell in love with showing , I have just turned 16 and have done so much including
- Showing at cruft's
- Making so many amazing friends in the show would
- Being the youngest person to join the committee for rough collies
- Winning so many show
- Becoming mum to my fur babes

WHY OMORDHA
How did we come up with that name
To those who know my sister Kat know our grandad was her world ( unfortunately he died before I was born) , so when it came time for choosing a affix we wanted something that would honour him , we got thinking and we know our Grandad family come form Ireland and so we set out to find a Irish Gaelic word, it was my mum that ask what Moore, (our Grandad / our family last name ) was in Irish Gaelic , when I looked it up it was Omordha so I applied on the kennel club and got accepted thankfully, so now we will have to wait to see what we can make of it.
